California residents may also request the specific pieces of personal information we hold about them.

8.  How to opt out of targeted advertising

You can opt out in any of these ways:

-  Reject advertising cookies in the banner shown on your first visit to the site.

An opt-out applies to the browser and device on which you make it. If you use several browsers or devices, please opt out on each. If you are signed in to your account when you opt out, we will apply your choice to your account as well.

We do not respond to Do Not Track browser signals, which have no agreed standard. We do honour the Global Privacy Control.

9.  How to make a request

Email info@bztickets.com with the words "Privacy Request" in the subject line. Tell us what you would like us to do, and give us the name and email address you used when you bought your ticket so that we can find your records.

To protect your information we will verify your identity before acting on a request. For most requests this means confirming details of an order you have placed. We will not ask you for more information than we need, and we will not use anything you give us for verification for any other purpose.

We will acknowledge your request within ten business days and respond within forty-five days. If we need more time we will tell you why, and we may extend by a further forty-five days. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we will tell you before doing anything.

10.  Authorised agents

You may appoint someone to make a request on your behalf. We will ask for written permission signed by you, or a valid power of attorney, and we may contact you directly to confirm that you authorised the request. We may decline a request from an agent who cannot provide this.

11.  If we refuse a request

If we decline your request we will tell you why. You may appeal by replying to our decision, or by emailing info@bztickets.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. An appeal will be considered by someone who was not involved in the original decision.

We will respond to an appeal within forty-five days, explaining the outcome and our reasons. If we uphold the refusal, we will tell you how to complain to the attorney general of your state.

12.  Non-discrimination

We will not deny you a ticket, charge you a different price, give you a lower quality of service, or suggest that we might, because you exercised a privacy right.

13.  Financial incentives

We do not currently offer any discount, reward or loyalty programme in exchange for your personal information. If we introduce one, we will describe it here and explain its terms before you join.

14.  California "Shine the Light"

California residents may ask us once a year for a list of the personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes during the previous calendar year. We do not make disclosures of that kind. If you would like written confirmation, email info@bztickets.com.
